Discovered Brown Rice


Went to the farmers market  as I do every Sunday morning and picked  up organic brown rice. I had really never cared for it but because I am reducing on white starch, I decided to try it. 
It's amazing. It tastes great. And I am glad that it's the healthier option because it's my new favorite.

It comes loaded with nutrients : Manganese and anti-inflammatory properties. 
I paired it with a spinach & onion sauce and avocado. I know it looks messy, but it's downright tasty! 


Recipe for Brown Rice - Treat it as you would, any other rice.

What  you need :

1 cup rice
1 onion
Half a tb spoon cocount oil
Salt to taste 
2 cups warm water 

METHOD 

Saute your onions in the coconut oil

Add rice till a little crispy

Add warm water and let cook under low heat.
